I am Louisa… I am on a mission to help you feel your best self through exercise.

I set up my company and became a Coach and a Personal Trainer as I am passionate about helping you find the tools and the movement you need to feel great about yourself and thrive in your life.

For me exercise is so much more than physical movement

It…

  • is my number one coping mechanism for when things are hard and when I am struggling with difficult emotions
  • provides thinking, reflecting time and inspires creative thoughts
  • strengthens me and keeps me healthy in my mind and body
  • reduces my anxiety and keeps depressive thoughts under control
  • connects me and challenges me allowing me to achieve amazing things
  • encourages me to look after myself and treat myself with compassion
  • gives me confidence, hope and sparks joy
  • allows me to have a body I like and be a weight I am happy with

Most importantly it enables me to be the person I am, fuels me with the energy and drive I need every day and makes me FEEL GOOD.

You can feel your best self

I know a lot of people already have this but I want everyone to find this. I believe everyone can with a bit of work and self-reflection. I set up Be Motivated to inspire and motivate you all to find your activity which will transform your life, in the way it has transformed mine, and which you will love to do and most importantly have fun doing!

I am a trained coach specialising in supporting behavioural and habit change in order to foster physical and mental health wellbeing. I believe we all have the capability to develop and nuture a state of “flow” in an activity, which we love to do, making us feel great in the moment and for the rest of the day, leading to a healthier and happier life .

Weight loss

I believe that we should switch the focus from weight loss and body image, diets and gruelling exercise plans, to how we feel inside. I want you to find to create healthy and sustained behaviour change for life. I learned this the hard way and wasn’t always the size I am (see below). I’m here to help switch that switch and help to create a happier, healthier life for yourself.

My story

I discovered that running and swimming, and more latterly yoga and strength training, could add all of these amazing things to my life. Exercise has saved me from the darkest moments in my life as I have struggled with mental health difficulties in my twenties, fertility challenges, grief and the breakdown of a marriage in my thirties. It has also transformed the way I relate to myself.

On the left is me before I found my joy for exercise and the right is me now after running, swimming, cycling and doing yoga and strength training regularly.

With years of enthusiastically taking part in running, swimming and triathlon events, and motivating others to follow their passions, I decided to become a Coach and completed my Post-Graduate Certificate in Coaching at Birkbeck, University of London in 2018. In 2021 I became an EMCC accrediated coach.

Since then I have studied cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness and self-compassion and have also completed my Level 3 qualifications as a fitness instructor and personal trainer. I am also qualified as a specialist in pre and post natal exercise and nutrition. I am a qualified Mental Health First Aider. I am so excited to share my motivations, drive and determination with you to help you on your quest to find your activity and live a happier and more fulfilled life as a result!
